Big Thief Preview 10/24/25

By Molly Jenkins

Indie folk band Big Thief is coming  to Washington D.C. this Friday, October 24th. After a three year hiatus to focus on solo projects, the band will be stopping at The Anthem to tour their new album Double Infinity. This album is the band’s sixth studio album but first as a trio after founding bassist Max Oleartchik left the band. Infinity is a follow-up to their 2022 album “Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You”. Despite the break, the band sounds as loose, intuitive, and mystical as ever. Singer-songwriter Adrienne Lenker traces her memory into each song with themes of the cycles of grief and love and embodying your feelings rather than trying to predict or control them. Big Thief promises a show that is entrancing, heartbreaking, and ethereal. After their Washington D.C. stop, the band will continue their “Double Infinity” tour into Queens, NY and various areas of the south. This concert is a can’t-miss, so get your tickets now!
