Preview: Jim Gaffigan Brings the Laughs Again to Washington D.C.

By Shira Oz

Jim Gaffigan is bringing his unmistakable, self-deprecating humor to The Anthem on February 26th, 27th, and 28th, with each show beginning at 7:00 PM as part of his “Everything is Wonderful” tour. Known for his sharp observational comedy and famously clean style, Gaffigan has become one of the most recognizable voices in stand-up, turning everyday experiences like food, parenting, travel, and social discomfort into highly relatable material. A defining feature of his comedy is the anxious internal monologue he often performs, giving voice to insecurities and small absurdities that audiences instantly recognize.

Gaffigan’s broad appeal stems from a steady run of successful specials, bestselling books, and television work. Standout specials such as Mr. Universe, Obsessed, Cinco, Noble Ape, Quality Time, and Comedy Monster showcase his ability to evolve while staying true to his observational style. His books Dad Is Fat and Food: A Love Story extend that same humor into reflections on family life and everyday indulgences.
