“Open My Door” and Come On In to the Lincoln Theatre

By Olivia Baine

South African-born and Berlin-based singer Alice Phoebe Lou is bringing her ethereal voice and delicate instrumentation to Washington, D.C. on April 15th. This tour is in celebration of her most recent album Oblivion (2025). The thirty-six minute, eleven track album brings Alice Phoebe Lou’s work back down to earth. The tracks are simple and stripped-down, with a strong focus on light strings and soft vocals. The subject matter of this work also returns to the basics, calling on themes of love, longing, desire, and growing up. Just a peek into the stellar life lessons included in the album – “Mind Reader” tells the tale of working together to make a relationship last and the title track “Oblivion” shares about finding peace in romantic vulnerability. Among these topics, Oblivion is a striking display of Alice Phoebe Lou’s whimsy, creativity, and musicality. Come by the Lincoln Theatre to hear this stunning display.
